Back to Back Pregnancies
This was originally published on my old blog www.cyntheology.com Sometimes I feel like I have been pregnant forever. I know that a lot of women feel that way especially during the last trimester. In my case I feels at lot closer to the truth. When this next baby arrives (my last), I will have been pregnant for a total of 18 months in the last 24 months! Sometimes I think having the babies back to back is crazy and other times I think it is brilliant. I think it will be a couple of decades before we figure out which one it is. There are a lot of pros with…

Facebook: It’s you not me
This was originally published on my old blog www.cyntheology.com Facebook and I had to take a “time out”. It was getting to the point where we were spending too much time together and not in a healthy way. I admit I am technology addict. Part of it is because of my job. I work as a software consultant with clients in almost every geographic location, staying connected via the internet is practically a job requirement. The other part of being a technology addict has to do with me and my desire to always be informed. I’m always up-to-date on current events and new trends. The internet is a place where I find…

Spring Snow Days
This post was originally published on my old blog www.cyntheology.com It is April and I feel it has been too long since I’ve written an update. Life with a little one is a busy life. It is crazy to think she is already six and a half months old. She is moving and wiggling all over the place now, rolling from one side of the room to the other. She is still working on building her strength and learning how to move by successfully getting up on her hands and knees. Pretty soon she will realize she can put it all together and crawl, bringing new joy and the worry…

My Eternal Quest for Less Stuff
This was originally posted on my old blog www.cyntheology.com Yay for the New Year! Over the past several years I have been trying to weed out anything that does not add value to my life, a couple of major moves really helped. It started with a New Years resolution around 7 or 8 years ago to declutter. Let’s face it, I used to be a serious packrat. I once found a box full of old Pennysavers. Do you know how many years of saving Pennysavers it takes to fill an entire box? Let that sink in for a moment. Since then I think I have been pretty successful in paring…

Our Doula Assisted Delivery
This was originally posted on my old blog www.cyntheology.com During my first pregnancy, there were a lot of birthy things I didn’t know about. In fact, except for knowing which part of me the baby comes out of, I was pretty ignorant of what actually happens during childbirth. I took a doctor-knows-best approach. It ended up being a highly managed experience with many interventions. A lot of decisions were made about what to do to me during labor, but none of those decisions were made by me. Except for the wonderfully beautiful baby I gave birth to, I found the whole labor process (and weeks recovery) pretty awful. 19 years after my first pregnancy,…

And Baby Makes Three!
This was originally published on my old blog www.cyntheology.com Because moving to a new state, buying a house, and trying to plan a wedding wasn’t enough, we decided to add a baby to the mix! Yes. You read that right. BABY! Finally I’m ready to share some exciting news. My wonderful SO and I are expecting a baby later this year. We are beyond thrilled at the thought of a little one (although I’m not thrilled with abstaining from wine). I’m going to spare the details about how we found out but let’s just say there was a little hyperventilating and freaking out involved…no not from him, from me!…
